GO WORK (part 1): THE MODEL OF ADAM

“The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it."

                                                                                                                                (Genesis 2:15)

As you can read, in the above mentioned passage, the Bible clearly states why God placed Adam in the Garden of Eden.

God did not place Adam in the Garden of Eden to worship Him. God did not place Adam in the garden of Eden to praise Him or to just pray.

The Bible is very clear: ‘God placed Adam in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.’

It is the truth.

Unfortunately, many people have a hard time reading the passage of Genesis 2:15 because they have repulsive feelings towards the word ‘work’. Those repulsive feelings were created through the listening of poor and weak preaching.

Since Adam was placed in the garden to work it and take care of it, we can easily conclude that the garden needed maintenance and developmental work.

In Ephesians 2:10, the Bible states: ‘For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’

God has prepared for us good works to do before our arrival on Earth. The Garden of Eden existed before Adam. We were created for good works which God prepared for us to do.

Therefore, there cannot be a Christian who has nothing to do on Earth. We all have something to do.

Laziness and Christianity cannot dwell in the same basket.
