LEARN TO AVOID THE DEEP TEACHINGS OF SATAN

In recent years, there has been a surge of new strange teachings in the Church. Those teachings are often taught by so-called ‘prophets’ and supernatural miracle workers.

One of the most common things among those teachings is the fact that they are called ‘deep things’ or ‘deep teachings’, or ‘revelatory teachings’, ‘mystical teachings’...

In those ‘deep teachings’, those ‘teachers and prophets’ teach knowledge that is out of the Bible. Sometimes they mix the Bible in their teachings in order to wear the appearance of Christianity while in fact they are false teachings.

The other very common pattern that those teachings carry is the fact that they fill the audience with a knowledge that does not transform lives. As a result, we have many church goers who are filled with various kinds of strange knowledge without knowing how to solve their life’s problems.

In order to escape to those teachings or to prevent yourself from falling into those teachings, I think we should read a few passages in the Scriptures which will help us:

In Genesis 2:15-17, after God created man, He placed him in the Garden of Eden and He gave him a strict command:

‘The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

God told Adam that he was free to eat from all the trees except from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

I will make a statement that will shock many people: ‘not all knowledge is good for life. There are some types of knowledge that are corrupt and dangerous. As in the case of Adam and Eve, their bodies got corrupted after they ate the forbidden fruit.

When the serpent spoke to Eve, it managed to rouse her curiosity as shown in the below passage:

“Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

(Genesis 3:3-9)

Notice what the serpent told Eve: ‘ “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

The serpent told Eve that the forbidden knowledge will render like God. The serpent lured Eve with the desire to be equal to God in the context of power and knowledge. Many pastors and ministers have fallen into the trap of embracing forbidden and dark knowledge because they were too curious and they lusted for that special power that would render them as great as God. As a result, many of those false ministers give themselves ‘nicknames’ once they see the manifestation of their dark powers. Those nicknames are fulfilling the secret lustful desire they had for worldly greatness.

Many ministers started well but on their journey, they got tempted to embrace various forms of extra knowledge and extra mystical practice. Most of those ministers easily fell for those things because they wanted to be as great as God, they wanted money and fame…

Be very careful and do not be gullible. If you hear any Church teaching that does not come from the orthodoxy of the Scriptures, run away from it.

Do not be gullible to the point of thinking that all teachings taught from the pulpit come from God. We are now living in perilous times and many false teachers have creeped into the Church.

Do not be gullible: ‘even Satan can teach.’

The origin of the deep things or the deep teachings of Satan

In Revelations 2, Jesus speaks to the Church of Thyatira from verse 20 to 24, He said:

‘Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways. I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.

Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets, ‘I will not impose any other burden on you, except to hold on to what you have until I come.’

During the first century, Jesus appears to the Apostle John and gives a message to 7 churches. One of those Churches was the church of Thyatira. In His message, Jesus specifies that He holds against Thyatira the fact Jezebel was tolerated through misleading teachings encouraging sexual immorality and eating food of idols.

Then, Jesus mentions that in the Church of Thyatira, there were a few people who did not hold to her teaching and who did not learn the deep secrets of Satan. Other Bible versions refer to the deep secrets of Satan as the ‘deep teachings of Satan’.

During the first century, after the Lord’s ascension and after the death of most Apostles, there were a series of heretic teachings that infiltrated many churches. The carriers (or the false teachers) would label those heretical teachings as ‘deep secrets’ or ‘deep teachings’ of God, while in fact those teachings were coming from Satan.

One of the reasons why the early fathers decided to compile a book called the Bible was to maintain the integrity of the Christian doctrine because it was also a time when many documents were falsely labelled as being authored by servants of God. By compiling a Bible, the early Church fathers were also able to exclude wrong doctrinal documents that spread the ‘deep teachings’ of Satan. As a result of the adoption of the Bible, the ‘deep things of Satan’ were thrown into an historical bin.

Twenty centuries later, a few ‘so-called men and women of God’ went to the historical bin and retrieved those old teachings that were contained in rejected Eastern spiritual books. So when you hear so-called ‘men or women of God’ say that they are teaching ‘deeper things or deeper truths or deeper teachings’, you should not see that label as a new one. These so-called ‘men or women’ of God are using an old labelled demonic teaching which was thrown in the bins of history by the early church fathers. They are just reusing the old stuff that Jesus condemned in Revelation 2:24-25.

Obviously, false teachers in the Church will never call those teachings : ‘the deeper things-teachings of Satan.’ They will replace the term ‘Satan’ with ‘God’.

I don’t advise anyone to listen to those teachings. Here are some of the characteristics of those deep teachings:

1. They cannot be fully backed by the Scriptures: ‘In other words, it’s difficult to justify them through the Bible. Sometimes, a few clever false teachers will use a Scripture and twist it by incorporating Eastern mystical teaching in their messages. Even if they use Scriptures, it is still difficult to justify those teachings through the Scriptures.

Those teachings have an Eastern mystical flair originating from Eastern mystical religions. For example they teach things such as the ‘third eye, astral projection, the reading of the stars…

2. Those teachings fill their audience with knowledge but the same knowledge barely transforms lives. Real Biblical teachings transform lives. In the deep things of Satan, people are taught all sorts of mystical things that do not edify.

3. This is a very important one: ‘they complicate the things that are presented in a simple manner in the Bible’. For example, they claim to teach people on how to prophecy. There is no such thing. The gift of prophecy allows a person to prophecy automatically but those false teachers claim the existence of codes and hebraic ancient words allowing a person to see names and numbers..Those teachings are purely demonic.

Please note that in the old testament, the Bible mentions the existence of the School of Prophets. Those schools were not designed to teach people how to prophecy but they were designed to teach the mannerism and decorum that a prophet should hold while ministering. People claiming to teach others to see numbers and names are simply leading others into witchcraft.

Furthermore, I saw many so-called prophets turning many things into ‘laboratory science’ such as prosperity and miracles. For example, they claim that people can access prosperity by using ‘formulish principle’ taken from ancient hebraic words…it’s really spooky!

4. One of the very common characteristics of the deep teachings is that there is a great emphasis on the angels and on the dark world. I am sure you saw certain teachings titled: ‘how to know the name of your angel’... I noted the fact that those false teachers spend a lot of time analysing and presenting knowledge on the dark world. For example, they will spend a greater amount of time speaking about all the types of demonic spirits (e.g: marine spirits, ect…) that exist in the dark world. The objective of such teaching is to familiarize audiences with Satan and his nature.

Of course, from time to time, we should teach a few things about Satan and demons because we are in a constant battle. However, any teaching on demons and spiritual warfare must be designed to equip the saints so that they can beat and overcome the enemy.

On the contrary, In the ‘deep teachings’, false teachers teach about demons and dark spirits not to help their audience overcome them but to let their audience familiarize with those spirits. In other words, false teachers strive to spread an intimate knowledge of demonic spirits to their audience. For example, they will tell you the names of all the territorial spirits in your country or they will tell you all the details about Satan’s relationships before his fall and many other demonic information.

5. Lastly, this is the most demonic characteristic of deep teachings of Satan: ‘those false teachings have the capacity to bewitch’

Those false teachers receive their knowledge from demons. When they teach, they are also sending out demons and spirits to their audience. Many have fallen victims by simply holding on to ‘deep satanic teachings’. This is why Jesus warned us not to go see them when they appear (ref.Matthew 24:24-26).

In the same way that the trees in the Garden of Eden were enough to Adam, the Bible is enough to us. There is no need to seek extra spiritual knowledge in mystical books. When a person is not satisfied with the Scripture and tries to go ‘deep’, it is very likely that that person will end up in the demonic realm.

I have seen how devastating the ‘deep things of Satan’ have been to many men and women of God who initially started well. Those former men and women are unrecognisable today.

Notice that in Genesis 3:9, God had to ask Adam: ‘Where are you?’

When a person goes onto the path of the ‘deep things of Satan’, it will go so bad that we will even ask: ‘Where are you and where have you gone?’

If you attend a place or if you follow a false minister, do yourself a favor: ‘just run and go at a place where the Scriptures are taught.’
